Crypfolio ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Crypfolio mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Portfolio data (coins, transactions, quantities) — stored locally on your device
  • App preferences (currency, theme, alerts) — stored locally on your device
  • Coin listing requests — if you submit a request to list a coin

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • Anonymous usage analytics (screens visited, features used, timezone)
  • Crash reports and performance data

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To deliver real-time cryptocurrency price data
  • To send push notifications for price alerts you configure
  • To improve the Service based on anonymous usage patterns
  • To diagnose technical issues and improve performance

4. Data Storage

Your portfolio data, transaction history, and preferences are stored locally on your device by default. We do not store your portfolio data on our servers unless you opt in to cloud backup. If you delete the app without a backup, your portfolio data will be lost.

Anonymous analytics data is stored on our servers and retained for up to 12 months.

5. Cloud Backup

If you choose to enable the cloud backup feature, the following data will be stored on our servers:

  • Your portfolio structure (coin selections and sort order)
  • Transaction history (coin, type, quantity, price, date, and exchange)
  • App preferences and settings

This data is associated with an anonymous device identifier — not with your name, email, or any personally identifiable information. However, the coin and transaction data in your backup may be visible to us in an anonymized form for the purposes of maintaining the Service, diagnosing issues, and improving product features.

Cloud backup is entirely optional. You can delete your cloud backup data at any time from the app settings, and you may use the Service without ever enabling cloud backup.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymous, aggregated data for analytics purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party APIs to provide cryptocurrency data, including but not limited to:

  • CoinGecko — coin metadata and market data
  • GeckoTerminal — DEX pool data
  • Various cryptocurrency exchanges — real-time price feeds
  • Frankfurter / ExchangeRate-API — fiat currency exchange rates
  • Expo — push notification delivery

These services have their own privacy policies that govern their use of your data.

8. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete your local data at any time by uninstalling the app
  • Opt out of push notifications through your device settings
  • Request deletion of any data we hold about you by contacting us
